"With accents of moss, iron and leather, this has a similar savoury countenance as the Villero, but there is greater fruit depth and balance with the grainy, grippy structure. Dark plum is nuanced by tobacco and tar, with medicinal herbs lingering. Despite prime holdings in the villages of Barolo and Castiglione Falletto, Giacomo Fenocchio's home base is in Monforte d'Alba, and his flagship Bussia bottling is undoubtedly the estate's top drop in 2022."
