"With 2.7ha, the Paolo Scavino estate owns approximately one third of this small sub-district and is an obvious reference. The site is characterised by deep aquifers of iron-rich water, helpful in curbing hydric stress. Pronounced aromas of camphor and eucalyptus make for a very balsamic expression. Sweet and dark wild berries are juxtaposed by savoury mushroom. The dense rich fruit is hemmed in by authoritative tannins; yet in the same breath, this is finessed and wondrously light on its feet."
