"No, that price is not a typo, this is simply a very exclusive Barolo. Limited to just 120 bottles and 711 magnums, this special "Collezione" wine is dedicated to Francesco of the Parusso family. You'll recognize this imposing bottle by its gold label, and the wine is only made in the very best years. The late-release 2000 Barolo Riserva Bussia Oro is an extraordinary expression, and I feel especially lucky to have tasted this precious magnum. Tasted now, nearly 21 years after the harvest, this wine still has some road to travel. But it has already reached a beautiful place, with dried cassis, cigar ash, truffle and campfire ember. The tannins are indeed tucked in, and the finish offers long and silky sensations."

"The 2000 Barolo Bussia Riserva Per Francesco (magnum) is a special selection from Bussia Vigna Rocche aged in the Parusso cellars and then finished with a new cork prior to being shipped. Rich and dense to the core, the 2000 captures all the signatures of the house style during this era. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice and new leather build as this sumptuous, opulent wine opens in the glass. Production is 100 bottles, 700 magnums, 30 jeroboams and 10 methusalems."
