"The estate made smaller quantities of each cru in 2022 and was particularly selective on the steep, well-exposed Cicala slope, eliminating the south-facing and highest plots, taking only the central section. Not quite brooding, the nose is captivating in its restraint; from a dark, earthy backdrop, scents of lavender and orange peel emerge. Mighty and mouthfilling, it floods the palate with lush layers of steeped dark red cherry, while inner perfumes of mint and dried wild yellow broom swirl with increasing intensity. The tannins are dry and gravelly, and an invigorating bite on the finish unleashes a mineral graphite sensation."
